Loan use : To repair the toilet by plastering the walls.
Jyotsna hails from Basirhat. She is a 47 years old lady who always strives hard to provide a better living to her family. Her family consists of her husband and a grown up son. They could not afford her son's educational expenses after class 12, and now he is unemployed. Her husband is engaged with fish cultivation and she is involved with fish scaling and cutting works.
The toilet Jyotsna and her family are presently using don’t have any plastered walls and door. A curtain like sheet is used to cover the door. The walls need immediate plastering as this temporary arrangement would not hold well in the long run. But she does not have sufficient money to renovate the toilet. This is why Jyostna is asking for a loan of Rs.10,000 from Milaap’s partner BJS to repair the toilet.
With the loan money Jyotsna will fix a permanent door in her toilet and at the same time plaster the toilet inner and outer walls. She hopes this will enable her to ensure a hygienic sanitation for her family’s wellbeing. She is thankful toward her lenders.
