Loan Use : To purchase stocks for their decorators business.
Firuja is a hardworking micro-entrepreneur from North 24- Parganas district of West Bengal. She is 44 years old, married and a mother of one son. She could only receive primary education and after that had to give up as her parents could not afford. Due to poverty she and her husband could not bear the educational expenses of their only son. He works in a poultry farm.
Firuja supports and helps her husband to run his business and contribute to family expenses. Together they are running a decorators business. They supplies decorators’ items in social events for rent. They generate a good income from this business to support their family. Their customers request the decorators’ items for weddings, children's birthday parties, religious and political gatherings, etc. They rent out chairs, tables, utensils, bedding etc. Their greatest challenge is obtaining customers in their small village.
Currently Firuja is applying for a Milaap loan for Rs. 14,000 through their field partner BJS. She will use it to buy more decorators items for their decorators business. With this loan she plans to offer a good quality lifestyle to her family. She wants to reinvest the profit to further grow the business. Her full thanks go to BJS and Milaap.
